This Tartan Day Concert features the music of 'North Atlantic Drift'. In the comfort of the Fergus Grand Theatre you will be captured by a multi-instrumental, multi-styled celtic sound that is truly Canadian in its diversity. Musicians Brian Tahenny (Sligo, Ireland), Dan MacDonald (Cape Breton Island) and Ross Griffiths (Ontario) follow the centuries old tradition of trading music and musical styles between Ireland, Scotland and the East coast of Canada.
Dancers from the Joyner Highland Dance School will delight you with their high energy footwork.
The pipes and drums of the Fergus Pipe Band will provide a set of tunes.
Tartan Day originated in Canada in the 1980s as a celebration of Scottish heritage and the contributions made by those from the Scottish diaspora.
